Paolo Marra has killed his wife for no reason at all. Consumed by guilt, he decides to turn himself in: he wants to pay for what he did, serve his sentence, and restore dignity both to the woman he murdered and to himself. Yet among distracted police officers, zealous lawyers, fortune-tellers, and convoluted bureaucratic loopholes, nobody takes him seriously. The man finds himself trapped in a Kafkaesque paradox: no matter how desperately he wants to, he cannot get himself arrested. He is the perfect scapegoat in a grotesque society that turns a blind eye to those seeking redemption.
